i woke up at 6am this morning and tiptoed downstairs to have some cereal and decided to check my email & stuff...and here it is! i had been trying (and failing) to wait patiently for this.

yeah, your dad & andy showed up at the end of our phone call-i could hear andy say something about you being on the phone in the background. 2 things i found cute: the remarkably high energy in the meter of your voice + the total tapering off and "um"-ing when you had a contraction. i think i remember you saying, "yeah...um...they really...aren't...pleasant..."
i'm totally inspired. i'm selfishly really glad you had your baby first, because your birth story is the most personally relevent i've ever read (having been your pen pal through every joy & frustration pregnancy has to offer).
