Tristan's birth was very similar to Wren's in many ways, except that Avery had already paved the way down the birth canal, so even though T. was 9lbs4oz and presented with his fist, I still pushed him out in 12 minutes. The speediness of stages 1-2, disbelief, and not having things go as I planned were definitely big parts of the birth, as well as a great relief that I was home instead of anywhere else (the fist made it so that i had to be upright, absolutely. a car ride would have been pure hell). And already "knowing" the pain made it easier to cope the second time, for what it's worth.
Anyway, thank you for sharing this so clearly and bringing up my own birth nostalgia. You did such a great job!
